Our Story
Brown Animal Hospital has a rich history dating back to 1959 when Dr. David L. Brown, Jr. founded the hospital on West Thomas Street in Lake City. In 1961, he built and opened our current location at 1111 East Main Street in Lake City. Dr. Brown served the Pee Dee and surrounding regions on his own until his daughter, Dr. Karole Brown Parker, joined him in practice in 1988. Dr. Brown and Dr. Parker served the community together until Dr. Brown passed away in 2008. Today, Dr. Parker continues her father’s legacy of compassionate veterinary care in her practice.
